About Laurentian Driving School

For more than 45 years, Sudbury and area have trusted Laurentian Driving School for their defensive driving training needs. Whether you’re just starting out on the road or simply looking to improve your skill, our informative courses can help. The MTO-Approved  CAA How To Drive BDE Course Curriculum is only offered at CAA Approved Driving School locations. This curriculum is even endorsed by Parent Tested, Parent Approved

In addition to first-time drivers, Laurentian Driving School's training programs are also good for teens preparing for driving tests, new Canadians learning Canadian driving laws, and seniors who want to keep their skills sharp. We are helping drivers in Greater Sudbury learn the skills they need to stay safe on the road.  

It all started in 1973 by Maurice and Jeannette Quenville.  Together they operated, taught at, and loved the school for over 40 years. They dedicated there lives to safe driving, and shared there passion for excellence with countless students over the years. Maurice always felt the importance of teaching avoiding collisions through, Defensive Driving, Defensive Looking and Defensive Thinking. Today the family business continue to promote the best in driving skills, threw there children along with there devoted instructors.

Courses

Weekend Classes

This course runs right though the year and just seems perfect for students and adults needing the get starting on there driving dreams on becoming independent and skilled drivers.
  • Saturday and Sunday
  • 9:00am to 3:00pm
  • Two weekends
  • Two 15 minute breaks (morning and afternoon)
  • 30 minutes lunch break

Evening Classes

Our evening classes are just perfect for the student that would like to take things at a slower pace or wants to just keep weekends free. It's a course that works well with University and College students along with parents of small children. It's a relax and smaller group setting.
  • Monday and Wednesday Evenings
  • 7:00pm to 9:30pm
  • Four weeks

Summer and Holiday

4 Day Class

Summer during the holidays and March Break is a perfect time to take the for those busy students to get all the skills and knowledge in our 4 Day Class. 
  • 4 Day 
  • 9:00am to 3:00pm
  • Two 15 minute breaks (morning and afternoon)
  • 30 minute lunch break
